However, St. Martin Parish School Board may disclose appropriately designated “directory information” without written consent, unless you have advised the District to the contrary in accordance with District procedures.

In addition, two federal laws require local educational agencies (LEAs) receiving assistance under the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965 (ESEA) to provide military recruiters, upon request, with the following information – names, addresses and telephone listings – unless parents have advised the LEA that they do not want their student’s information disclosed without their prior written consent. [Note: These laws are Section 9528 of the ESEA (20 U.S.C. § 7908) and 10 U.S.C. § 503(c).]
If you do not want St. Martin Parish School Board to disclose directory information from your child’s education records without your prior written consent, you must notify your child’s school in person at the front office.

I hope all is well with each of you and your families. As we comply with the “Stay at Home” order instituted by the Governor and President, it is our hope that our students can work on some academic activities to support the learning which had taken place prior to school closures. Our teachers have provided three suggested activities per course to complete at home each week. You can access these activities by clicking the Oncourse link below. Then click on the teacher’s name. This will give you access to the homepage of their Oncourse Websites where detailed information about these suggested activities is provided. You can contact the teacher or me via email with any questions and/or concerns you may have. We look forward to returning to school and the normal life we once knew to be. Until then, please be safe and take much care!
